Informed Names Dan Sogorka as CEO
Dan Sogorka, former Rocket Pro GM, is the new CEO of AI verification platform Informed. He steps down as CEO of broker platform Origna8 after a few months.

Dan Sogorka, former general manager at Rocket Pro, has been appointed chief executive officer of AI-driven verification platform Informed. He is simultaneously leaving his role as CEO of the broker platform Origna8 after only a few months in the position.
Informed is a San Mateo, California-based company. Its platform assists lenders with application verification, fraud detection, and funding acceleration. According to the company, it has automated over $350 billion in loan originations to date. It primarily serves the auto lending sector, processing more than five million applications every year.
Sogorka expressed confidence in the company's data foundation. "Informed has built something rare: a data advantage lenders genuinely trust to fight fraud," he said in a statement. "With more than 2 billion data points behind the platform, we can catch what others miss, and it's the foundation we'll build on as we bring that same trust to new markets."
Platform and Market Reach
The firm's technology is currently used by eight of the ten largest auto lenders in the United States. Its system is powered by a proprietary Fraud Data Network containing more than 100 million documents.
Company leadership framed the hiring as a strategic move for future growth. Informed's board and executives see Sogorka's appointment as preparation for a new chapter. The firm aims to expand beyond its core auto lending business into adjacent verticals such as consumer lending and mortgage credit. The company stated that its overall strategy, product road map, and existing customer commitments will not change.
Sogorka's Industry Background
Sogorka brings two decades of experience in the financial technology sector. His background is heavily weighted toward mortgage technology. He has held senior roles at several major industry players, including Black Knight (now part of Intercontinental Exchange), ServiceLink, and Sagent. This experience spans loan servicing, originations, and wholesale lending.
His most recent venture was co-founding Origna8. He launched the broker platform with former colleague Mike Fawaz in January, after leaving Rocket Pro. United Wholesale Mortgage served as a lender partner for the startup.
Transition at Origna8
At Origna8, Sogorka served as CEO during its initial technology rollout. The platform focused on providing technology, marketing, recruiting, leads, and lender partnerships for independent mortgage brokers.
His departure from the CEO role there is not a complete exit. Sogorka told HousingWire, "I will no longer be CEO at O8, but I will remain on the board and an adviser." He will maintain strategic ties to the broker-focused venture. Mike Fawaz, who is building the company, noted that a replacement CEO has not yet been selected.
